Birchbox is my favourite beauty subscription box out there (read my reviews), not only because of the great products in the boxes each month, but also unlike their rivals they have a great loyalty and shop system. When you renew your subscription, review items you’ve received, or refer others, you earn Birchbox points, which you can then spend in their online shop.
I had managed to save up £60 worth of points, so I decided to pick up a few bits I had been lusting over
I picked up;
- BeautyBlender Classic (£16)
- BeautyBlender Micro Mini (£13.50)
- English Laundry Roller Ball Perfume (£16)
- Lord & Berry Silhouette Neutral Lip Liner (£9)
- Benefit Posiebalm (£14.50)
I actually received my first BeautyBlender from Birchbox last year, and I’ve used it every single time I’ve worn liquid foundation since. It applies foundation flawlessly with every application, I’ve tried various different sponges like this, but the BeautyBlender out shines them all. I’m not sure what makes it so different, but it’s honestly incredible.
My purchase of PosieBalm means I finally have all four of Benefit’s Tinted Lip Balms. I love the other three and get so much use out of them, so it was only right I picked this one up too. I really enjoy wearing these, they’re hydrating, and add a lovely sheer colour to your lips – perfect for everyday. I’ve reviewed and swatched all 4 of Benefit’s Tinted Balms here if you fancy a read, they’re absolutely lovely!
I’m really trying to get more into lip liners as they do make such a difference to your overall look. So, I ordered Lord & Berry’s Silhouette Liner as it sounded really intriguing and I’ve heard some good reviews about it. In theory it should act as a lip liner for any lipstick, which in my book sounds great. I haven’t properly tested it yet but it feels really smooth and applies really nicely without tugging.
I couldn’t resist adding these adorable Mini Micro BeautyBlenders to my Birchbox as well as the original. They can be used for concelear, highlighter and contouring. I’ve heard really great things about them so I’m excited to give them a good try.
Last but not least I ordered Christopher Wick’s English Laundry Perfume in an 100ml Roller Ball. I received a sample vial of this in one of my Birchbox’s and fell in love with it, it smells absolutely gorgeous. I find roller ball style perfumes perfect to keep in my handbag to apply throughout the day.
I’m really happy with all the bits I got from Birchbox, especially since this whole order was essentially free, as I used all my points. If you’re interested to hear about Birchbox’s subscription service, you can read all my previous reviews here. If you fancy signing up, you can use my link and we’ll both get £5 to spend in their shop.
