This morning I woke up to the delivery man ringing the door bell a lot. At first I was slightly irritated by this, but then I remembered my Degustabox was being delivered today, so cheered up immediately! I think this is the first non-beauty related post that I’ve actually written on here, but you know, who doesn’t love food?!

DEGUSTABOX REVIEWDegustabox is a monthly foodie subscription box of specially selected products every month that costs £12.99 including delivery. They say the contents should be worth around double of what you are paying. This is my second month of Degustabox, although I didn’t manage to review last months due to my family of vultures devouring the items before I could photograph them!

In July’s Degustabox I received;

> 3 x Zeo Drinks: RRP £1.29 each
> 3 x Portlebay Popcorn: RRP 79p per pack
> 6 x Maggi Sachets: Total RRP £5.44
> 2 x Dr. Oetker Sprinkles: RRP £1.50 each
> 2 x Hornsby’s Blueberry Cider: RRP £1.25 each
> 1 x Green & Blacks Lemon Bar: RRP £2.29

Zeo Drinks

‘Forget the usual sweet and sticky soft drinks; when it comes to refreshing yourself this summer discover ZEO. It’s a crisp, dry soft drink with a tingling taste sensation’
I received 3 of the Zeo drinks, each a different flavour; ‘Peach & Grapefruit Burst’, ‘Citrus Crush’ & ‘Lime Zest’. I am actually familiar with this brand of drink before, but only because they were been giving out at a shopping event I attended last year. As my box was delivered before I left for work this morning, I grabbed the peach and grapefruit bottle and it’s currently sat on my desk, half full. It’s a lovely delicious and refreshing drink, and it’s even better that it contains no artificial ingredients! All three of these bottles will definitely be drank in my house, if not all by me!

‘Stateside, they use blueberries in pancakes, but here we’ve packed their juicy flavour into this fruity cider’
I am really not a big drinker at all, but one thing I do love on a summers afternoon is a delicious cold fruit cider. I have never tried blueberry cider, but Hornsby is a well known brand and I am definitely looking forward to trying these!

degustabox popcornPortlebay Popcorn

‘Kracklecor, which is a bit different from your average popcorn. One bite of our sweet and salty artisan treat and the love affair will begin’
Again, I received three packets of this delicious looking popcorn, in three different flavours; ‘The Classic – Sweet and Salty’, ‘Crispy Bacon & Maple Syrup’ & ‘Chilli & Lime’. For my lunch at work I also grabbed ‘The Classic’ bag, and I can say they are absolutely gorgeous. They have the perfect crunch and the flavouring is lovely! I am really intrigued to try the bacon and maple syrup flavour now too! I have just been browsing their website and have seen some of the other exciting flavours I would love to give a try, it says these are available in Tesco and other retailers, so I will probably pick up some other flavours if I come across them.

Maggi Packets

‘Each packet contains a mix of delicious herbs and spices to help you make a classic dish’
I received 6 sachets from the Maggi So range;
> 2 x So Baked Cheesy Chicken & Leek Potato Bake
> 2 x So Baked Piri Piri Chicken
> 1 x So Baked Beef & Ale Casserole
> 1 x So Juicy Oriental Soy & Garlic Chicken
I have used this range before and my mum absolutely loves cooking with these, they make the meal so much tastier and easier to cook, win win! I have donated these sachets to our kitchen cupboard, and I’m sure I will be having dinner made from these soon! I am particularly excited to try the Piri Piri Chicken and the Soy & Garlic Chicken, yum!degustabox maggi so

Dr. Oetker Sprinkles

‘Our edible decorations can be easily added to your home baking to create your own very special look’
I received two little bottles of sprinkles, ‘Eton Mess’ and ‘Voilet Crystals’, both of which look super exciting. My mum has discovered a recent talent for baking, and I always come home to freshly baked delicious goodies, so these have also been donated to her. On the back of the card that accompanied the Degustabox, was a recipe to make Eton Mess Cupcakes by using these sprinkles, which look absolutely delicious!

degustabox bakingGreen & Black’s Lemon Bar

‘Infusing our 60% Dark Chocolate with a zety lemon flavour, striking a balance between a fresh citrusy hit and enticing rich dark chocolate’
Green & Black’s are a higher end chocolate bar with such a luxury feel to them, I love trying out their different flavours and this one sounds delicious as I am partial to some dark chocolate now and again. I may donate this to my mums cooking cupboard, or I may just devour it myself, I haven’t decided yet, but yum either way!

This month I am really impressed with Degustabox, I am a very very fussy eater, but I know everything in this box will get used up in my house without a doubt. All of the items were full sized and I received many different flavours which was great. Boxes retail at £12.99, and my box combined price would have retailed for around £17, which is not a huge saving, but it is a saving none the less.

Are you signed up to Degustabox already? If so what’s your favourite item this month? And if not, are you thinking about signing up?
