June has been a super busy month for me, I’ve had quite a lot of time off work and have done some super fun stuff, along with buying way too much stuff (as usual). I am super excited to share with you my June favourites (even if it is the last day in June!), some are new products whereas others have been around for a while but I’ve only just managed to get my hands on them!
My June 2014 favourites are;
- Maybeline Matte Maker Powder
- Max Factor Colour Corrector Stick in ‘Green’
- NARS Orgasm Blush
- Garnier Ultimate Blends
- Real Techniques Blusher Brush
I bought this powder in a unintentional boots haul and fell in love straight away. This is such a great powder which just mattifies your face, soaking up any excess oil and blends super easily. I now have this in two shades, ‘Classic Ivory’ & ‘Nude Biege’. Especially for less than £4 it’s perfect to keep in the bottom of a handbag just to put on quickly to reduce any oil or shininess on a busy day
This was a product that I had read about on various other blogs that I knew I had to try. I was particularly interested in the ‘Green’ stick as this is used to neutralise redness, such as blemishes, blotch unless and broken viens. I have a lot of redness on my face, mainly on my cheeks from acne scarring. So this was a product I had to try and I’m now very glad I did. You simply draw over the target area with the crayon like applicator, blend it in and then continue with your normal makeup over the top. I’m super impressed with this product and will hopefully get a chance to use some of the other colours in the range that target other imperfections.
This is another item that I purchased due to reading countless great reviews and hearing many beauty bloggers raving about it. You can read my full review on the blush here. It’s a lovely blush and definitely deserves it’s place in my June favourites list.
Out of all the Real Techniques brushes that I own, this one is my absolute favourite. I’m not sure if this is down to the fact its pink and after you use any beautiful coloured blush the bristles turn pink too. Or if its lovely tapered shape to the brush made me fall in love with its super soft bristles? Anyway I love it and if you haven’t got one yet, you’re missing out! You can read my full real techniques post here
The hair care item/s that slipped their way into my June favourites is a shampoo, conditioner and 1 minute treatment combo from Garnier. I picked these up in Superdrug as they were half price and I can’t help myself when I see a deal but I’m very glad I did. This is probably the best shampoo and conditioner combo I have actually used in years. I’m specifically using the ‘The Colour Illuminator’ version of the set as I regularly colour my hair, but I know there are other types such as ‘The Nourishing Repairer’ duo, which work just as well. My hair is super long, dead and dry but this works perfectly and gives my hair that added moisture it needs as well as protecting my colour. I will definitely be re-purchasing this whole set
I had being seing quite a few beauty bloggers mentioning these lipsticks, so when I happened to be browsing the makeup section in a huge tesco I saw they were on offer for £6 each, I obviously had to buy a couple. I am in love with all things matte currently including nail varnishes but especially lipsticks. I’m really not a fan of shiny glossy lipsticks so these were right up my street. The colour I have specifically fallen in love with is the ‘Nude-ist – 07’ (on the right). Its slightly more coloured than a plain nude colour, it’s another ‘your lips but better’ shade and I absolutely love it. The colour lasts for ages and the applicator lets me coat my lips very easily. I also bought ‘Frambourjois’ (on the left) which is a lovely deep pink/red shade. It’s a much more vibrant shade so I won’t get as much wear out of it but I love it all the same.
This month I’m really excited about my list of favourites, they’re all really great products and definitely deserve their places! Have you tried any of my June favourites? What did you think?
