Originally, it was subscription boxes that really got me into, and started my addiction to makeup and beauty products. I loved getting the opportunity to try out new brands, and products that I otherwise probably wouldn’t have, and getting a surprise through the door each month made it extra special. Latest in Beauty are one of my favourite beauty box suppliers, however unlike the majority of other boxes, you can actually see the contents before you decide to purchase the box. There’s no contract or recurring renewal, meaning that you can literally pick and choose any boxes you’d like to buy, after seeing what’s included in them, which is a great alternative to subscription boxes for those people who don’t like the surprise element, or the idea of spending their money without knowing what they’ll receive.
Latest in Beauty often collaborate with different companies such as Heart and Glamour, but they’ve also joined forces with the British Beauty Blogger (Jane Cunningham) previously to bring out some incredible boxes. I’ve managed to get my hands on two boxes that Jane created in the past, and I absolutely loved them, so I knew when the British Beauty Blogger Dream Box IV was released, that I needed to snap this one up too. As with Jane’s other boxes, the demand was incredibly high, due to the amazing contents and value of the box, that the site crashed quite a few times when it was launched. I sat for a while refreshing the page, and was lucky enough to get myself one of the boxes, and not only am I very impressed with the contents, I also think it’s amazing value, with the box retailing for £22.95 but being worth over £106!

Crabtree & Evelyn | La Source Hand Therapy Hand Cream
Received 50g Medium Sized Product | RRP £9.00
I’ve never suffered with dry hands, in fact I’m actually quite lucky to have naturally rather soft, and nourished hands. However, recently I’ve become slightly addicted to hand sanitisers so I thought that hand cream is something I should really get into using, as surely these alcohol based sanitisers aren’t doing any good for the moisture levels in my hands. My hand cream of choice at the moment is Caudalie’s Hand & Nail Cream, but I recently broke the lid off it (don’t ask), meaning it’s not travel friendly any longer so this version from Crabtree & Evelyn will be the perfect replacement. Crabtree & Evelyn’s hand creams are award winning, and as a full sized product, this is a great addition to the Latest in Beauty box, that I’m sure a lot of people will be excited by.
Shay & Blue | Framboise Noire Fragrance
Received 2ml Sample Sized Item (Worth £5.00) | RRP £55.00 for 100ml
I know that some people aren’t happy to receive fragrance samples in beauty boxes, however I am personally quite a fan. I’ve discovered a lot of new scents through subscription boxes before, that I wouldn’t have tried otherwise, and I think they’re so handy to keep in your bag, and are perfect for a night out. This sample is from Shay & Blue, which is a brand I haven’t heard of before, but I am really enjoying this new scent. It contains top notes of rare black raspberries, mixed with forest berries that gives a lovely rich red fruit overall scent.
Maybelline | Dr Rescue SOS Nail Balm
Received Full Sized Item (8g) | RRP £3.99
I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a nail balm before and I’ve certainly never come across this product, so I was really intrigued about it being added to the Latest in Beauty box. I’m actively trying to get my nails into a much healthier state at the moment, so again this is another product that’s come at just the right time for me. I love the fact that it’s a treatment stick, making it so much easier to apply, and it contains some great ingredients such as jojoba oil, and shea butter, both of which have great hydrating qualities.
Beauty Kitchen | Love Me Wonder Balm
Received Full Sized Item (10ml) | RRP £2.99
In my opinion, you can never have enough lip balms, but what’s even better than a great lip balm, is a fab multi purpose balm. I’ve never heard of Beauty Kitchen before, but I think this little tin is adorable, and is perfect for popping into your bag and using on the go. This balm has some great positives to it, such as the fact it’s freshly made in the UK, with only completely natural ingredients and doesn’t feature any nasties such as parabens, sulfates or synthetic fragrances. I really like the cinnamon scent that this balm has, as well as the fact it’s multi purpose and has the cutest packaging – I know that this will be the perfect companion over the upcoming colder months.
NUXE | Prodigieux Eye Cream
Received Full Sized Item | RRP £18.50 for 15ml
My favourite night cream (Benefit’s It’s Potent) is very nearly finished, so it was perfect timing that I received this night cream within the BBB Dream Box. I’m a big fan of NUXE already, and the fact that this is a full sized product (worth £18.50) makes it a really great addition to the box. This Prodigieux Eye Cream is a moisturising, re-energising product that has anti-ageing and anti-puffiness qualities, and is light, non greasy and suitable for sensitive eyes. I’m really looking forward to using this once my current eye cream is finished, as it sounds like it would be the perfect product!
REN | EverCalm Gentle Cleansing Milk
Received 25ml Sample Sized Item (Worth £2.75) | RRP £16.00 for 150ml
Another brand that I’m a big fan of is REN, so I was very happy to see this EverCalm Gentle Cleansing Milk within the BBB Dream Box. It has been developed for people that suffer with redness, blotchiness, extreme dryness and irritation. Containing no parabens, sulphates, mineral oils, petroleum, silicones or synthetic colours or fragrances it’s perfect for even the most sensitive skin types. The 25ml sample size will be great for travelling with, so that’s probably what I’ll keep this for, although if my skin is feeling extremely irritated or sensitive I’ll be sure to give it a go.
Erborian | CC Cream
Received 15ml Medium Sized Product | RRP £17.00
Erborian is a brand that I’ve never actually come across before, but I love a good CC cream, so I was excited to try this out. From the tube, this cream comes out as white, with little pigment beads, but once you blend it into the skin, it adjusts to your skin tone. This actually gave me quite good coverage which always surprises me with a CC cream, however I found this to come out slightly too dark for my skin tone. I’m very pale at the moment, so I’ll be saving this until my complexion picks up again in the warmer months, as I’m pretty sure it will be a perfect match then. The formula is lovely and nourishing, blends really nicely into my skin and contains an SPF25, so I’m definitely looking forward to using this when the summer comes around.
KSM California | Moist Repair Shampoo & Conditioner
Shampoo – Received 75ml Travel Sized Item (Worth £4.50) | RRP £13.00 for 300ml
Conditioner – Received 75ml Travel Sized Item (Worth £5.00) | RRP £13.50 for 250ml
Usually, I’m not a fan of when beauty boxes include shampoo or conditioner samples, but surprisingly for once, I was happy to see this duo from KSM California. I like the fact that both the conditioner and shampoo were included, and the sizes are really great for travelling as they’ll definitely give you more than a couple of washes each, unlike other samples I’ve received in the past. I’ve tried a few hair products from KSM California before, and I’ve enjoyed using them so this gorgeously scented duo will definitely be coming away with me on my next trip.
L’Occitane | Almond Shower Oil
Received 35ml Sample Sized Item (Worth £3) | RRP £18.00 for 250ml
L’Occitane are another great brand to be featured in the Latest in Beauty BBB Dream Box, with Jane picking their Almond Shower Oil. I’ve personally never used a shower oil before, so I’m looking forward to giving this a go, as I’ve only heard great things about it. This smells absolutely incredible – so much so that I couldn’t stop sniffing it as I was writing this post! Another perfect size for travelling, but I don’t think I’m going to be able to keep this until I next go away – I need to use it now!!
Soap & Glory | The Righteous Butter
Received 50ml Travel Sized Item (Worth £2.50) | RRP £10.00 for 300ml
Soap & Glory are definitely my favourite brand where body care products are concerned, as I’ve absolutely loved everything I’ve tried from them previously, but surprisingly I haven’t actually tested their Righteous Butter before. It has quite a cult status attached to it so I’m looking forward to giving it a go, but I think this will be another product I’ll save for travelling as the 50ml tub is the perfect size. It’s described as a luxurious body butter that features a ‘dynamic moisturise trap’ that helps to hold in hydration even longer. It’s recommended for all skin types, so I’m sure a lot of people will be really happy to see this staple within the Latest in Beauty box.
Collection | Speedy Blush Stick in ‘Cheeky’
Received Full Sized Item | RRP £3.99
Recently I purchased one of Collection’s Speedy Highlighters and I was really impressed with the formula, so I’m happy to see the blush alternative being included in the Latest in Beauty BBB Dream Box. I received the shade ‘Cheeky’ which is a lovely pinky coral shade, that I actually really like. Whilst I haven’t had the time to test this out just yet, the formula feels really creamy, and blended out well on the back of my hand. I’m usually rubbish with cream products, so I’m hoping that I’ll be able to get some use out of this, as I really do like the design of the stick and the shade I received looks perfect.
L’Oreal Paris | Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara
Received Full Sized Item (9.5ml) | RRP £10.99
Thinking back now, in all of my time I don’t actually think I’ve ever tried a mascara from L’Oreal, as when I buy one from the drugstore, I’m usually drawn to Rimmel, Bourjois or Maybelline’s offerings, so this is new to me! I’ve heard amazing things about this mascara, so once I finish up the abundance of mascara’s I’m currently using I’ll definitely be giving this a go. It’s said to feature an innovative lengthening fibre formula that builds intensity and gives a false lash effect, which sounds right up my street, so I’m very excited for this!
bareMinerals | Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in ‘Raise The Bar’
Received Sample Sized Item (Worth £7) | Full Sized Item RRP £17.00
bareMinerals are a brand I absolutely love for their base products, but I’ve never actually had the chance to try out one of their lip products until now. I’ve heard great things about the Marvelous Moxie lipsticks and as a huge lipstick lover this was a great addition to the box in my eyes! I personally wish it would’ve been a full sized product, but hey, I can’t really complain, as I think this box is already incredible value for money. Everyone that bought the box received the shade ‘Raise The Bar’, as Jane thought this would be a great universal shade and describes it as ‘on the side of a nude’. It is a rather dark nude, that has a lovely berry like undertone to it, that I really love so I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of this now that my makeup menu has turned to the more autumnal shades.
Crown Brush | C473 Pro Studio Contour Brush
Received Full Sized Item | RRP £9.99
Crown Brush are a brand that I haven’t tried, but one that I’ve always intended to make an order with and never quite gotten around to it. I’ve really been getting into sculpting (or creating!) my cheekbones recently, so I couldn’t of been happier for a contouring brush to be included in the Dream Box IV. The brush feels of really great quality, with well cut soft bristles, that’s the perfect shape to contour with. Not only has my current contour brush got bristles that are slightly too long for a defined contour, it has also done a disappearing act, so I know that I’ll get a lot of use out of this brush!
Now don’t you just think that this is an incredible box?! I think Jane and Latest in Beauty have done a great job putting the Dream Box together, as my box was literally jammed full with amazing goodies! I genuinely think that I’ll get use out of every product in this box, which is such a rarity for me – especially when there’s 15 items here! The products are a range of skincare, haircare, makeup and accessories making it such a well versed box, so I’m sure everyone found something they loved within it! Unfortunately, this box isn’t available to purchase any longer, as it sold out on the day it was released (I can see why!), but Latest in Beauty often bring out new boxes, so hopefully you can get an idea of the sort of products they include. Personally, I’m very impressed with the BBB Dream Box IV, not only for value for money (I paid only £20 with a discount code) but for the great range of brands, and products that have been included – it’s a perfect all rounder I think!
You can check out all of the boxes that Latest in Beauty are currently offering here – but be sure to check back often or sign up to their newsletter, as new boxes are released all of the time! You can also have a read of another Latest in Beauty Box I’ve reviewed if you fancy – The Glamour Beauty Edit, which was also filled with amazing goodies, and was really great value too!
What do you think of this Dream Box? Would you consider picking up a box from Latest in Beauty? Are there any products that caught your eye? As always, I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments, and thank you so much for reading!!
