My Little Box DVF Review

Last month, My Little Box launched in the UK, bringing us an amazing Parisienne themed boxed which I fell completely in love with (you can read that post HERE), and since then I have been, not so patiently waiting to see what the second UK box would bring. My Little Box October

I try not to look at spoilers of My Little Box as every subscriber gets the same items, so seeing the contents would really spoil the surprise! I had, however read that the October box would be in Collaboration with Diane von Furstenberg which definitely got me excited!

My Little Box Contents OctoberThis months My Little Box included;
> ‘Be The Woman You Want To Be’ A5 Print
> ‘A Kiss From Diane’ Lips Brooch
> Diane Von Furstenberg For My Little Box Scarf
> Keratase Laque Noir Hairspray (75ml Travel Size)
> L’occitane Vanilla Bouquet Hand Cream (10ml Sample Size)
> My Little Beauty Micellar Water (150ml Full Size)

My Little Box CardThe first item that I saw upon opening this month’s box was the A5 print. Both this month and last month’s My Little Boxes have included an A5 print, which personally I think has really added to the box. I really like this print, an inpsiring quote with a lovely design – perfecct. I am planning to redecorate my bedroom before the year ends, so I am keeping this and hoping to frame it in the near future!

“Be the woman you want to be”

The next items I picked up from the box are the lifestyle items this month and include ‘A kiss from Diane’ lips brooch and a DVF Print Scarf.

My Little Box BroachUnfortunately a brooch isn’t really my kind of ‘thing’, so I wasn’t too overjoyed to see this in the box. I’m sure it will get used one way or another, maybe I will pin it onto a bag or something. Don’t get me wrong it feels really well made and is super cute, so I’m sure a lot of people will really enjoy it – but it’s just not for me.

My Little Box Scarf

My Little Box Scarf ContentsThe second lifestyle item is a specially designed My Little Box DVF Print Scarf. Subscribers either received the scarf in a black, green or red print. As you can see I recieved the black scarf and I’m definitely glad I did – I’m doubting I would have used it if I had gotten either of the other 2 colours. The scarf is made from a lovely silky material and can be used in many ways, which are shown inside the envelope it came in!

Along with lifestyle items, My Little Box also contains a mix of beauty products which are contained within an adorable drawstring bag. This month it included a Keratase hair spray, L’occitane hand cream and My Little Beauty’s micellar water.

My Little Box Beauty

I’m always happy to recieve a can of hairspray, as I can literally never have enough, plus this travel size is perfect to stick in your bag for a weekend away! Keratese is a brand I have been using for years, and this product has an extra strong hold, ideal for those more extravagent or slick hair styles.

Luckily for me, I never ever get dry or sore hands so I rarely use hand cream, but I was happy to see this sample within my box nevertheless. L’Occitane is a brilliant brand, everything I have tried from them I have loved – and vanilla could be possibly be my favourite scent ever. Another item that I can throw into the bottom of my handbag!

I absolutely love micellar water, it is my favourite thing to use to refresh my skin and at the same time remove my makeup. It’s my first step in my daily skincare routine, so adding another, different, bottle to my collection is exciting! This isn’t a huge bottle, considering it is a full size product, and I like to use quite a lot per application, but this is still a very welcomed addition to my skincare collection! This bottle is from My Little Box’s own beauty range – My Little Beauty, it contains some great ingreidents including aloe vera for it’s softening properties and orange extract to smooth even the most sensitive skin.

My Little Box DVFOverall, I am impressed with this month’s DVF Little Box offering. I do think last month’s was better but I think it’s just personal preference as I loved the laptop sleeve, but this month not the scarf as much…

I feel like this DVF box has been put together and thought out extremeley well – every item I recieved feels as if it is extremely well made, and are of great quality. The general theme of this month’s My Little Box is so classy and chic, I can see many subscribers really loving it!

I really enjoy recieving a mix of lifestyle, beauty and fashion items, which for me is a great change from the regular beauty subscription box such as Birchbox or Glossybox. I love the surprise element each month and I am really excited to see what November brings! If you would like to sign up to My Little Box, you can do so HERE.

What do you think of this months box? Are you subscribed?

I like how these boxes are so different, because I think beauty boxes have become a bit boring, but it’s hard to please everyone. Like you I wouldn’t really wear a brooch and I’m not sure on the scarf either, but I do like the concept 🙂
