I am currently subscribed to 4 beauty boxes a month at the moment, and the 3rd one I received this month was my Love Me Beauty box. Love Me Beauty is my favourite beauty box of the four, every month there are 3 editions you can chose from, and if you don’t like the look of any of the menus, you can just skip it until next month. This is perfect for me as often I am really not very keen on some of the surprise boxes I get from other companies. This month as I was looking at the box menu’s I really wasn’t overly keen on the selection, but I have never been let down by Love Me Beauty yet, so I went ahead and ordered one of the boxes regardless.
This month I chose ‘Edition 1’, which included;
- Marsk: Mineral Eyeshadow in ‘You’re Toast’ | £14.49
- A La Carte: Smudge-Proof Eyebrow Definer | £23
- Oriflame: Ecollagen Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream |£16.95
- Mirabella: Lip Luster Liner in ‘Bashful’ | £10.50
- Welda: Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream | Sample – Box Extra
Marsk: Mineral Eyeshadow in ‘You’re Toast’ | £14.49
It’s only been within the last year or so that my love for eyeshadows has truly blossomed, and now they’re one of my favourite items to receive in beauty boxes. I find that eyeshadows differ immensely when it comes to quality, so getting new eyeshadows from brands I have never heard of, is a great thing in my book. ‘You’re Toast’ is a beautiful neutral brown which works fantastically as a base for a brown smokey eye look. This mineral loose based powder is strictly animal cruelty free, which makes me love it even more.
A La Carte: Smudge-Proof Eyebrow Definer | £23
When I was originally reading the menu’s for this months box, this product was featured in all 3 of the boxes in the shade ‘Blonde’. I found this really bizarre but ordered anyway since two of my sisters are blonde, so this could be donated easily. However when it arrived it’s definitely a brown shade so I’m really not sure what went on with this, this month! The menu card desrcibes this as a ‘Precision, skinny tip pen for painting in individual hairs. Water-based, smudge=proof for eyebrows, eyeliner or semi-permananet body art. It’s the perfect natural and transparent colour for tinting or filling in brows’. I absolutely love this, it’s great for making your eyebrows look fuller and it looks really natural.
Oriflame: Ecollagen Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream |£16.95
I do love a good eye cream, but I have quite a few unopened within my collection, and as I don’t suffer from wrinkles (I am only 19!), I gifted this to my very grateful mother. My mum really likes eye cream and says that its really cooling and refreshing. Obviously I can’t say within a couple of days if this has made any physical difference but she is going to keep on using this and let me know! She did however mention that it isn’t very easy to get the actual product out with the roller ball, and a bit of squeezing is required. I’m not sure if I got a duff one or if this is just because it’s a sample and not the full sized item.
Welda: Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream | Sample – Box Extra
I think this little 10ml Sample of Welda’s hand cream is a box extra, as this doesn’t appear anywhere in my menu card. It’s a great size, perfect for throwing into the bottom of your handbag. It has the same scent as the body lotion I received from Welda in last month’s Love Me Beauty Box (can see that here), the smell reminds me of sherbet lemons, which I absolutely love!
Mirabella: Lip Luster Liner in ‘Bashful’ | £10.50
I have a huge love for lipsticks, but lip liners isn’t really something I have dabbled in properly. I have always wanted to start but and build my collection, so this lip liner is a perfect addition to my collection for me. This liner is meant to be used to fill the entire lip, then apply lipgloss on top. I did attempt this but it felt quite drying, so I am going to simply use this as a lip liner and now all over. It’s a pretty pink colour and can definitely be used for a my lips but better look.
This month I am actually very impressed with Love Me Beauty’s offering, I received 4 full size items and a box extra worth over £65, and considering the box is only £12.95 including postage and packaging, I think that is great! This box has also introduced me to 4 new brands that I previously didn’t know about, so thumbs up from me!
What did you think of this month’s box? If you are subscribed to Love Me Beauty what menu did you pick? If not, you can sign up here if you fancy!!
