My Little Box has finally arrived in the UK for the launch of it’s first box – and I for one can say that I’m super excited!
If you haven’t heard about My Little Box before – it’s a different kind of subscription box to your usual Glossybox or Birchbox. My Little Box is based in Paris and sends out monthly boxes each with a different theme containing beauty, fashion and lifestyle items! Every month you will receive gorgeous items from the MLB team that have been created exclusively for these boxes, including items from their own beauty range – how exciting!
My first box arrived this week and I had absolutely no idea what the theme would be, I have seen some really great previous boxes with themes such as My Little Weekend Box and My Little Smile Box – so I was quite hopeful that this month would live up to their standards.
As I’m sure you are aware and can see by now – the theme of September’s box is ‘My Little Parisienne Box’ – which I absolutely love!
The first item that caught my eye upon opening the box was a gorgeous A5 Print created by Little Box’s illustrator (Kanako). The quote on the print is from the company’s author Maureen Johnson and reads;
“Why Paris? Paris needs no reason. Paris is it’s own reason”
I think this is a lovely addition to the box and would look great in a simple white frame on any wall!
Next up from this beautifully packaged box is an A5 notebook, again designed by the illustrator of My Little Box. As this is the first ever UK box from them, inside this notebook, the first couple of pages explain all about the company – which is such a nice touch! After these pages the notebook is blank so you can scribble away to your hearts content!
My favourite lifestyle item from this My Little Box is the laptop sleeve – which has come just at the right time for me! To fit this in the box, MLB have used a cardboard sleeve with ‘GEEKY IS THE NEW SEXY’ written on it – as a true geek at heart, I really loved this touch!
The sleeve fit’s my MacBook Air 13” perfectly, so I was super happy with this as I had been looking for a cute sleeve for quite some time. Unfortunately for some people, I can imagine if you have a larger laptop that this isn’t going to fit – but it could definitely work as an adorable present for a close one! This has also been designed by MLB’s illustrator Kanako and feels really well made!
The last lifestyle item of the box was a pack of gorgeous Paris themed 3D stickers – these will be making their way to my house’s craft box as I’m sure they will be added to a scrapbook or home made birthday card at some point!
As well as the lifestyle items there is a lovely fabric drawstring bag included which each month is illustrated to co-ordinate with the boxes theme. This bag feels lovely and again, really well made – it would be perfect for travelling to keep jewellery in or pesky hair slides/bands!
Inside the bag was 3 lovely beauty items;
> My Little Beauty | Stylo Lumiere
> Nuxe | Hulie Prodigieuse
> Laura Mercier | Foundation Primer
The Stylo Lumiere is a complexion brightening pen, which can be use for such a range of things concealing and brightening under eye circles to highlighting under your brow bone. This item is brought to you by MLB’s own brand – My Little Beauty, who create their own gorgeous beauty items – that you can only get your hands in on the UK by subscribing to the box!
I was particularly excited to see the Laura Mercier foundation primer, as I did used to own one of these before, but it ran out and I just never got round to buying a new tube! This is a very generous sample size and will definitely do me for some time to come!
Another great product this month is Nuxe’s Hulie Prodigieuse which is a multi-purpose dry oil which can be used for pretty much everything – from reducing stretch marks to giving your legs a silk stockings kind of glow! This is a french beauty must have – so I am really excited to give this a go properly.
I am so impressed with my first ever My Little Box and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who fancies a change from the regular subscription boxes on the market currently! I feel like a lot of love and thought has gone into the creation of this box, it is really well put together and everything feels really well made. The price of the subscription is £11 + P&P but I think it is definitely worth it! If you fancy signing up to My Little Box – you can do so HERE
