My Little Magic Box UK Review

It’s been a little while since a My Little Box review has appeared here on emilyloula, but I’m pleased to say that today I’m back with December’s box, and boy it’s a good’n. For the last few months, I really haven’t been that impressed with My Little Box – so much so that I was actually considering cancelling my subscription. That was until the My Little Magic Box arrived at my door, and I completely fell in love with the theme and the contents….

Rituals | Touch of Happiness Body Cream

Received 70ml Travel Size | RRP £17 for 200ml
Rituals are a brand that I’ve only become familiar with in the last year or so, but I’ve become a big fan pretty quickly so I was pleased to see them featured in the My Little Magic Box. I usually give away body creams and lotions that I receive in subscription boxes to friends, as I rarely use them myself, but I’m actually not going to be able to part with this one. It’s a luxurious, indulgently thick body cream, that has a really delicious scent, described as sweet orange and cedar wood. It’s a nice size product, at 70ml, making it enough to get a real feel for the product or perfect sized to pop in your bag when travelling.

Too Faced | Melted Lipstick in ‘Fuchsia’

Received 5ml Sample Size | RRP £19.00 for 12ml
I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a melted lipstick from Too Faced for a while now, so I was incredibly excited to see this within the My Little Magic Box. I’ve never tried anything from them before, but I’ve heard great things, and I know that these melted lipsticks are highly recommended in the beauty industry. I received the shade ‘Fuchsia’ which is an extremely bright pink, so I doubt that I’ll get much use out of it to be honest. I’m much more of a muted or muave pink girl, but it’s a gorgeous shade all the same, and I’m definitely looking forward to giving it a go. If the formula wows me, which I’m sure it will, it’s likely that I’ll pick up a few more shades from them, as I do really love a good liquid lipstick!

Kusmi | Imperial Label Tea

Received 25g Sample Pot | RRP £13.10 for 125g
As soon as I opened the My Little Magic box I got a huge waft of an amazing scent, which I later realised was coming from this adorable little tin of tea. I’m usually a standard english breakfast tea bag kinda girl, but the scent of this has really drawn me in, so I think I’m going to have to give it a go. This is a loose leaf green tea from China that has been combined with orange, cinnamon, liquorice root and sea buckthorn berries, making it perfect to enjoy at this time of the year.

My Little Box | Makeup Bag

Received Full Sized Item | RRP £6
Out of the whole My Little Magic Box, this gorgeous makeup bag was definitely what I was most excited to see. I absolutely love the navy & gold design – so much so that I would definitely buy this myself if I saw it in a shop! It’s quite a nice size, and feels of great quality, so I know it will be something that I will get use out of. A girl can never have enough makeup bags, right?

My Little Box | Heat Retaining Mittens

Received Full Sized Item | RRP £10
I was actually leaving for London when the My Little Magic Box arrived, so I took it with me, to unbox on the journey (I wasn’t driving, obviously…). It was a pretty cold day, so I was delighted to see a pair of heat retaining mittens in the box. They came in so handy  (excuse the pun) during the day, keeping my fingers toasty on a chilly winter London day. As with everything I’ve received from the My Little Box team, these mittens are of really great quality, and they’re actually incredibly comfy to wear. Again, I love the navy and golden colour scheme, and I’ll definitely get a lot of use out of these this winter!

My Little Beauty | Nail Varnish Duo

Received Full Sized Items | RRP £7
Keeping in with the navy and golden theme, subscribers were treated to a lovely little nail varnish duo from My Little Beauty. Every product that I’ve tried from My Little Box’s in house beauty team has been really great, so I’ve got high hopes for these polishes. The shades are perfect for the festive time of year, and I think a golden glitter should be a staple in everyones collection! There’s a tutorial on how to use these in the My Little World magazine, so maybe I’ll give that a go for Christmas, although I’m rubbish at nail art, so I’m pretty dubious!

Overall, I’m really impressed with the My Little Magic Box. I love how the theme is Christmassy, without screaming Christmas, and I’ll actually use every single item within the box. The makeup bag, and the mittens are definite favourites for me, and I’m very excited to give the Too Faced Melted Lipstick a good go. My faith has been restored in My Little Box with this addition, and I really hope that they keep up the good work! My subscription is safely renewed with them for now…

If you fancy reading my previous reviews of My Little Box you can do so here, and if you’d like to sign up to get your own My Little Box you can do so here for £14.95 including postage.

What did you think of the My Little Magic Box? Would you be as impressed as I am with the contents? What’s your favourite item? As always, I’d love to have a read of your thoughts in the comments, and thank you so much for reading! x
