I absolutely love shopping, whether that’s online or actually in a store, but there’s nothing better than a shopping trip with someone who has similar interests and loves the same things you do. Usually when I’m out shopping with my friends, two minutes down the makeup isle, they’re done and are ready to move on to the next shop, whereas I want to stand there swatching every lipstick I can get my hands on and scouting out all the new releases. For me, I can’t think of a more ideal shopping partner than another beauty blogger…
Myself and Lauren (from laurenselwood.co.uk) had been reading each others blogs and chatting on twitter, when and realised we actually only lived about 20 minutes away from each other, so we met up for a Coffee and arranged a shopping trip that week. On the day, we met in Reading and literally spent the entire day shopping, even visiting some other stores outside of the town centre too. After a really great day, we thought we would do something a bit different with our haul posts – and publish them on eachothers blogs. Along with my KIKO Haul, the above picture is what I picked up on our shopping trip, so if you fancy reading about that you can see my post on Lauren’s blog. Lauren bought quite a bit on our day out, so she’s split her posts up too, but you can find out what’s in her Superdrug haul if you carry on reading…
Superdrug often bring out some really brilliant Limited Edition collections and recently they bought out a collection that was based around old school sweet shop sweets. I really love sweet scents so as soon as I saw this collection when I was out shopping with Emily I knew I had to have it. I picked up all of the bits from the range I could find, here’s what I got.
The first bits I picked up were the Shampoo and Conditioner from this collection, the scent for these is pear drops, what I really love about these is that the colours of them relate to the colours of a pear drop sweet. These are really sweet smelling and I imagine they will make your hair smell heavenly. I am very excited to get started with these. These were 99p each and you get 400ml in each bottle which is a considerable about for the price. Along the lines of things you use in the shower – the Shower Gel in this range is a favourite of mine. It smells like raspberry bubblegum and is the best in the collection if you ask me. I once again love how the colour of the shower gel corresponds with the scent. Very clever.
The next thing I picked up were the Scented Tissues, which I thought was such an odd addition to a bath and body collection at first. These tissues are scented like strawberry bon bons, but they smell more like almonds – which is still nice! For 99p you get 55 3-ply tissues, so not too shabby if you ask me! Now for another favourite of mine. The Self-Heating Face Masks, they’re your average size face masks but they smell divine – vanilla fudge! I love a good face mask, and for 79p this was a bargain mask to add to my collection. I love them mmhm.
The last thing I picked up from this collection was the Dry Shampoo, the scent is lemon sherbet. I was sceptical about an own brand dry shampoo as it’s tricky to find a good one anyway but I really like this one, it works really well and I’ll definitely be repurchasing this when it runs out.
This is a wonderful range, the packaging is so inventive, I love how the product colour represents it’s scent and I truly love all the products inside. They were all half price as an introductory offer but are generally all under £2 anyway, they’re such an afforadable range as well as being fabulous quality – that’s a hard combo to find these days!

Didn’t Lauren pick up some really great bits? I’ve just realised as writing this that I also bought the Raspberry Bubblegum Shower Gel but forgot to include it in my shopping haul on Lauren’s blog (oooops!). No wonder it’s Lauren’s favourite item in the collection – it honestly does smell delicious! I really want to get my hands on those scented tissues and the Lemon Sherbet Dry Shampoo too now!
So it was a bit of a different post set up today – I would love to hear your thoughts! Would you like to try out anything Lauren picked up from Superdrug? Did you check out what I bought in my haul – what did you think?
